Best crew setup in My Anime Mine

Checked 2026-10-17

Start with the crew you own, equip it, then test one slot at a time. A higher rarity label alone is not a reason to replace a working miner.

The crew guide dated 15 October describes a repeatable swap test and moving equipment when a miner is replaced. The research guide records slot milestones, and the official pass API confirms Equip Best is free. I rechecked those sources on 17 October; they support a setup method, not a named best-in-slot team.

Build and test a lineup

  • Place the miners you want to test on the plot and use Equip Best for the starting loadout. A character left in storage is not part of the mining test.
  • Note rocks cleared or cash earned over a repeatable interval in one zone. Record the pickaxes, levels, mutations, enchants and active boosts.
  • Replace one slot, keeping the zone, test interval and other miners unchanged. Keep equipment comparable so a tool change is not mistaken for a character advantage.
  • Repeat the interval. Keep the replacement if the result improves consistently; otherwise restore the previous lineup.
  • After choosing the lineup, rerun Equip Best and check that the strongest available tools are not left on benched miners. A replacement does not establish that gear was consumed.
  • When research adds a crew slot, fill it and record a new baseline. Repeat after opening another zone rather than assuming an old ranking still holds.

Which change should you test next?

Editorial checks, not a fixed upgrade order or a DPS forecast.

Frequently asked questions

How many crew slots do I start with?

Not published. The recorded board says milestones add slots. I will not invent a starting count.

Should I mutate everyone?

There is no sourced cost-per-damage table that makes that optimal. Compare the crew first, then decide whether the displayed upgrade or roll cost fits your current bottleneck. A mutation roll is not a guaranteed improvement.
